We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shopify Developer to join our client’s team. This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in the USA. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining Shopify stores, ensuring optimal performance, user experience, and functionality. You will collaborate with the client’s team to understand their needs and translate them into effective Shopify solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build and integrate Shopify apps to extend store functionality.
- Implement and manage Shopify Plus features (if applicable).
- Troubleshoot and debug Shopify store issues.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, SEO, and mobile responsiveness.
- Collaborate with designers and marketers to implement design and marketing strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and ensure code quality.
- Work with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Communicate effectively with the client and project team.
- Manage projects and meet deadlines.
- Potentially contribute to front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) if required by the client.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Shopify theme development and customization.
- Knowledge of Shopify APIs and app development.
- Understanding of Shopify’s architecture and best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely.
- Experience with Shopify Plus is a plus.
- Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) is a plus.
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
