Adept Consulting Services, Inc., a well-established and thriving IT consulting firm with a proven track record since 1994, is seeking a highly skilled Microsoft DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Microsoft DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing complex, on-premises Windows application environments that power our clients’ critical websites and digital properties. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain traditional Windows/IIS server environments, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
- Implement and manage Web Application Firewall (WAF) environments to enhance security.
- Architect, deploy, and manage intricate application solutions that align with evolving business requirements and security policies.
- Ensure strict compliance with security protocols and policies (CA2), and promptly remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Manage build pipelines and release processes for seamless code and database updates.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding infrastructure changes, DNS updates, and application upgrades.
- Manage access to code repositories (Git) and provide 24/7 on-call support for critical production systems.
- Manage resources for dev/UAT/prod instances (web/app servers, databases, storage, networking, etc.).
- Develop and maintain unit tests, performance, and load test scripts.
- Coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, and PowerShell.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on Windows/.NET environments.
- Extensive experience managing on-premises infrastructure.
- Proven expertise in managing WAF environments.
- Demonstrated ability to architect and implement complex application solutions.
- Strong understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server (a plus).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on website applications involving enterprise CMS integrations.
- Minimum of 3 years with system administration.
- Strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience managing dev/UAT/Prod environments.

Schedule:
