Gymdesk, a leading provider of modern online management software for gyms, martial arts schools, yoga studios, and wellness businesses, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our growing engineering team. In this remote role, you will collaborate closely with our QA lead to ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability across our web and mobile applications.
As a Junior QA Analyst, you will play a vital role in maintaining the seamless and intuitive user experience that our thousands of customers rely on daily. Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive manual test plans for new features and updates, focusing on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Identify, document, and report software defects with clear, reproducible steps.
- Maintain and update test case libraries to reflect current software functionality.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and other team members to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Contribute to product documentation updates as features are added or modified.
- Participate in usability testing sessions and provide insightful feedback.
- Assist in improving QA processes and methodologies.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in software testing or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in manual testing, including both plan-based and exploratory testing.
- Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools.
- Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Ability to write clear and concise bug reports and test cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of software quality assurance.
- Able to work Mon-Fri, 09:00 – 17:00 UTC +/- 2h
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
- Ability to write basic SQL queries for data verification.
- Experience with mobile app testing.
- Experience with API testing.
