About the Role
HCL Technologies is currently hiring Lead Engineers to join their team working on exciting embedded Linux projects in Chennai, India. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of developers, designing and implementing software solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Software Development: Design, develop, and implement high-quality C# and C++ software solutions.
- Embedded Systems: Develop embedded systems on microcontrollers and embedded processors.
- Debugging: Debug system and board-level modules using software tools and collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers.
- Multithreading: Develop and debug multithreaded applications.
- Cross-Platform Development: Experience coding on both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient in Visual Studio 2015 (or later) or equivalent.
- Source Control: Experience with Git Source Control Management.
- Maintenance and Support: Maintain existing features, troubleshoot bugs, resolve ad-hoc requests, and provide support for enhancements.
- Client Support: Provide client support by presenting data, information, ticket resolution, and day-to-day support activities.
- Documentation: Create and maintain necessary documents for CMMi and client requirements.
- Requirements Gathering: Interact with customers and internal teams to gather requirements for development purposes.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong programming skills in C# and C++.
- Experience with embedded systems development on microcontrollers and embedded processors.
- Experience with debugging system and board-level modules.
- Experience with multithreaded applications.
- Experience coding on both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Proficiency in Visual Studio 2015 (or later) or equivalent.
- Experience with Git Source Control Management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
