Olathe, Kansas – Garmin, a global leader in innovative GPS technology, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Architect to join our team in Olathe, Kansas. In this critical role, you will be the driving force behind optimizing the user experience within the Microsoft suite of applications for Garmin’s endpoint systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Change: Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating the impact of internal and external changes on the Microsoft ecosystem. You’ll develop and implement strategies to ensure a seamless and positive user experience.
  • Analyze & Optimize: Dive deep into system performance analysis, utilizing metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement. Your insights will drive optimization efforts and enhance system efficiency.
  • Embrace Modernization: Research and champion new technologies to elevate system performance and availability. Lead the charge in modernizing approaches to endpoint updates, software deployments, and system imaging.
  • Influence & Guide: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Infrastructure, Cyber Security, and Desktop Management, to shape endpoint strategies and policies. Your expertise will ensure clarity and alignment across the organization.
  • Be the Expert: Provide expert-level support, tackling complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Your ability to deliver actionable results will be invaluable.
  • Communicate Effectively: Clearly communicate architectural concepts to diverse audiences, from development teams to senior executives.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, demonstrating expertise in managing Windows infrastructure services (Active Directory, Exchange) or working within endpoint-focused Cyber Security.
  • Strategic Mindset: Proven experience in developing and implementing endpoint strategies and policies.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Results-Oriented: A track record of successfully implementing technology solutions.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with endpoint compute services (desktop imaging, software deployments, systems/fleet management).
