Make a Real Difference: Your Mission as a Mid-Level Software Engineer
As a Mid-Level Software Engineer at Clipboard Health, you’ll be more than just a coder; you’ll be a problem-solver, a collaborator, and a key contributor to a product that directly impacts the healthcare landscape. This role offers the opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership of meaningful projects within a dynamic, high-impact environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Scalable Solutions: Build and maintain features using TypeScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS, working with backend services like MongoDB, Postgres, and Redis.
- Craft Reusable Components: Create clean, modular code for web and mobile (Ionic/React, Dart/Flutter) applications, collaborating with the DevX team to enhance tooling and efficiency.
- Own the Development Lifecycle: From design and development to testing, deployment, and production support, you’ll manage your code through every stage.
- Collaborate and Innovate: Work closely with product managers and customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that deliver real value.
- Embrace Remote-First Culture: Communicate effectively within our distributed team, leveraging asynchronous communication and participating in team overlap schedules.
- Focus on the User: Prioritize user experience in all aspects of development, from bug fixes to new feature implementations.
- Contribute to On-Call Rotations: Participate in on-call rotations (typically one week per month) to ensure the reliability and quality of our services.
Who You Are:
- 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Node.js, and NestJS.
- Familiarity with AWS (ECS, Terraform) deployment or a strong willingness to learn.
- A growth mindset, eager to tackle challenges, experiment, and learn.
- Proactive and resourceful, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies (integration, E2E, unit).
- Customer-centric and passionate about making a difference in healthcare.
