Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician – Pump Repairman to join our team in Revelstoke, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain standby diesel generators and switch gear
- Install and maintain industrial components (dampers, gates, fans, bearings, motors, pumps, manlifts, etc.)
- Operate and maintain gas testing equipment
- Issue Confined Space Entry Permits
- Provide isolation, lockouts, clearances, and safe work permits
- Assist in the development of energy control procedures and safe work practices
- Operate in accordance with safety procedures and regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Provincial Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic, Red Seal Mechanic
- Comfortable working at heights and with fall protection procedures
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Proficient with hand and power tools
- Ability to obtain a CROR D Rules Card
- Must be able to work independently and be on-call every second week

- Background investigation required (criminal history, references, driver’s license verification)
