Washington, D.C. – The U.S. Senate is seeking a skilled attorney to serve as Counsel for Employment within the Office of the Senate Chief Counsel for Employment. This vital role offers a salary range of $136,856 to $212,123 annually and the opportunity to work on significant labor and employment law matters. The position is eligible for partial remote work after an initial onsite period.
This challenging and rewarding position involves defending Senate offices, committees, and officers in employment-related legal disputes. The Counsel will litigate cases, provide legal advice, conduct research, and present employment law seminars. Responsibilities Include:
- Defending Senate clients in employment law cases.
- Conducting legal research and writing memoranda and briefs.
- Handling discovery, motions, and trial preparation.
- Advising clients on employment law matters.
- Developing and conducting employment law seminars.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree.
- Minimum two years of experience defending employment claims.
- Expertise in federal employment laws, labor laws, and constitutional law.
