The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is seeking a Supervisory Contract Specialist to join the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer. This is a remote position with a salary range of $134,000 to $174,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement program planning, negotiating and contracting with private contractors, and managing functional requirements in a contracting operation.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Contracting Officer with an unlimited warrant.
- Participate in program planning conferences with management of customer organizations.
- Continually analyze procurement programs at the Bureau.
- Represent the Chief of the Office of Procurement at meetings with representatives of other Divisions, Executive staff, and contractors.
- Perform the duties of the Chief of the Office of Procurement when the Chief is absent.
- Obligate, expend, collect, or control revenue, funds, or items with monetary value in excess of $50 million.
- Procure (or secure funding for) goods and/or services with monetary value in excess of $50 million annually.
Qualifications:
- Completion of all mandatory training prescribed by the head of the agency for progression to GS-13 or higher-level contracting positions, including at least 4-years’ experience in contracting or related positions.
- A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree, that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.
- Selective Factor: Employment is contingent upon one’s ability to obtain/maintain an unlimited Department of the Treasury warrant, which requires an active FAC-C Professional (or equivalent) certification.
