Job Description:
The Warehouse/Machine Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the facility. Responsibilities include using overhead cranes and forklifts to unload, store, and stage raw materials, verifying material accuracy, and loading/unloading trucks and railcars. The position also offers opportunities to operate various equipment, including Coil Processing/Cut-to-Length machines, CNC Plasma/Oxy-Fuel equipment, and CNC Machining Centers (training provided).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling.
- Manage shipping, receiving, and storage of metal sheets, plates, and coil.
- Verify material against orders and bills of lading.
- Secure materials for transport, particularly on railcars.
- Conduct daily inspections of lifting and processing equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Opportunity to operate advanced machinery (training provided).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Overhead crane operation experience a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs regularly, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. The role involves working around moving equipment and noise, requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
