Salary: AED 15,000 – AED 20,000 per month
Job Purpose:
The Senior Technician, I-C is responsible for the instrumentation and control maintenance of equipment in their assigned asset, plant, or equipment. This includes ensuring maintenance is performed safely and reliably, and that equipment operates according to its intended purpose. The technician will also maintain personal tools and workshop housekeeping, and coordinate with contractors and external parties as needed.
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Report job details and provide technical feedback
- Observe equipment status and report abnormalities
- Assist with major/minor repairs during shutdowns
- Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities
- Support plant operation during emergencies and shutdowns
- Conduct new installations, modifications, and testing
- Troubleshoot and isolate faulty components
- Perform maintenance on field instruments
- Control system health checks
- Operate and maintain the instrument workshop
- Maintain workplace housekeeping
- Comply with HSE and fire regulations
- Identify spare parts required for maintenance
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Diploma or equivalent in Instrument & Control Discipline
- 5+ years of relevant experience in oil/gas or petrochemical industry
- Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements
- Hands-on SAP experience
- Experience with control valves, transmitters, and HART communicators
- Awareness of MCMS, DCS, PLC & ESD software
- Understanding of documentation and reporting procedures
- Working knowledge of operation & maintenance manuals and drawings
