As a Senior Manager, Strategy & Business Development, you will:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance company performance.
  • Lead partnerships and M&A activities to drive inorganic growth.
  • Provide analytical insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and monitor the company’s growth strategy, considering industry trends and competitive threats.
  • Define and measure specific strategic goals.
  • Design business scaling and revenue growth strategies.
  • Identify emerging trends and their relevance to Ooredoo Qatar.
  • Set the overall strategic direction of the company.
  • Analyze business cases for strategic projects.
  • Propose long-term transformational initiatives.
  • Develop new activities from M&A to handover to business and operations.
  • Screen and manage a pipeline of opportunities, assessing strategic rationale and returns on investment.
  • Develop pitch presentations for strategic initiatives.
  • Perform regular portfolio management of business activities.
  • Establish strategic partnerships to generate new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop business strategy and initiatives.
  • Support the 3-Year Business Planning and Development.
  • Develop Ooredoo Board Presentations and messages for M&A opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment of key messages.
  • Support the development of the inorganic business strategy and partnerships strategy.
  • Make recommendations to management on specific opportunities.
  • Provide reports and presentations for reviews.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Perform performance and variance analysis.
  • Analyze competitor activities.
  • Prepare presentations for decision-making.
  • Take responsibility for self-improvement and stay updated on industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Telecommunications/Finance/Strategy or MBA with a specialization in strategy or finance.
  • 7-8 years of experience in strategy consulting or corporate development, preferably in Telecom.
  • Experience in business strategy, marketing, business development, product management, or new ventures.
  • M&A experience in consulting or corporate environment in Telco.
  • Telecom industry experience required.
  • Proven facilitator and communicator.
  • Financial acumen and ability to link business strategy, operational plans, and financial performance.
  • Good execution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Good interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.  
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ambitious and result-driven.
  • Ability to cope with deadlines.
  • Work prioritization and time management skills.  
  • Team Player.
  • Ability to operate in a diverse multicultural, multinational work environment.
  • Excellent command of both written and verbal English, Arabic would be an advantage.
  • Strong strategy skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Expert in valuation, partnerships, deal structuring, and negotiation.
