About the Role:

As a Technical Support Analyst (Hardware) at Scotiabank, you will play a vital role in maintaining the bank’s Windows and Linux server environment. This includes everything from hardware lifecycle management and software currency to troubleshooting and production support. You’ll be working with cutting-edge technologies like VMware ESXi, HPE server hardware, and various automation tools. The role also involves cloud server initiatives, security hardening, and end-user support.

Responsibilities:

  • Build, maintain, and decommission Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage VMware ESXi and VDI infrastructure.
  • Implement security patches and vulnerability management.
  • Support physical and virtual server environments.
  • Participate in disaster recovery exercises.
  • Administer Single-Sign-On and certificate authority.
  • Provide end-user technical support.
  • Contribute to cloud migration initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • University or College Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration.
  • Expertise in Microsoft System Center, Red Hat, and VMware products.
  • Strong knowledge of HP server hardware.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Red Hat IDM.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
