Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks, depending on the specific position:
- Director (Information Technology):
- Leading a team of IT professionals to develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy for Pakistan Railways.
- Overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of critical IT infrastructure.
- Implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency and security within the organization’s IT systems.
- Identifying and managing IT risks.
- Deputy Director IT Infrastructure:
- Designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure for Pakistan Railways.
- Ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of network systems, servers, and other IT equipment.
- Implementing security protocols and measures to protect the organization’s data.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of an IT strategy aligned with the overall modernization goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Director (Information Technology):
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working in a relevant field.
- Deputy Director IT Infrastructure:
- Masters degree in Computer Science, MBA with specialization in IT, CIS, or MIS.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a relevant field (for PhD holders, minimum 3 years).
- Proven hands-on experience in servers, routing, switching, and firewalls.
Additional Information:
- Age Limit: Maximum 62 years for both positions.
- Appointment: Contractual basis for three years, with a possibility of extension for two years based on performance.
- Salary: Competitive package based on the Ministry of Railways’ MP Scales Policy, 2021.
