What You’ll Do:

As a Telecom Engineer with IoT experience, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and maintaining telecommunications systems, including wired and wireless networks, ensuring they can support a high volume of IoT devices across multiple locations.
• Planning, deploying, and managing IoT solutions across the telecom network, guaranteeing reliable and secure connectivity for IoT devices using various telecom protocols.
• Configuring and troubleshooting communication modules in IoT devices (e.g., LTE, 5G, LoRa, NB-IoT).
• Optimizing the telecom network to handle IoT traffic, ensuring high performance and low latency for IoT applications.
• Monitoring and managing the scalability of IoT devices connected to the network, performing capacity planning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and resources.
• Implementing and maintaining security protocols and standards to protect IoT networks from vulnerabilities and threats, ensuring compliance with security regulations and data privacy policies.
• Working closely with IoT development teams, software engineers, and business units to ensure seamless integration of IoT solutions within the telecom network.
• Providing ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving telecom and IoT-related issues.
• Setting up and maintaining network monitoring systems for IoT devices and services, creating reports and dashboards on network performance, uptime, and device status.
• Staying updated with the latest telecom and IoT technologies and industry trends.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of telecom protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN).
• Hands-on experience with IoT platforms and devices, such as sensors, gateways, and actuators.
• Understanding of IP networking, wireless communication standards, and RF technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, NetFlow).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS IoT, Azure IoT) for IoT device management.
• Knowledge of telecom and IoT security practices, including encryption protocols, access control, and network segmentation.
• Certifications in telecom and networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, IoT Specialization) are preferred.
