Bowling Green, KY – The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky is on the hunt for a skilled Systems Administrator to join their team. This pivotal role offers a competitive salary, reaching up to a maximum of $115,213, and a chance to work within the prestigious federal judiciary system.
The position, based in Bowling Green, involves coordinating and overseeing the court’s information technology servers, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in server administration, troubleshooting, and network security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, test, and deploy new server systems.
- Provide critical troubleshooting and triage during system failures.
- Maintain and enhance data backup and recovery procedures.
- Conduct security assessments and implement network security solutions.
- Support Windows Server and Redhat Linux environments.
- Support the court’s case management system, locally developed ECF and e-Filing systems, Active Directory, IIS, Informix, Exchange and SQL Servers, and other court-developed software applications and services.
- Manage Court intranet and internet pages.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years of specialized experience in system administration.
- Or a Masters Degree, or 2 years of graduate study in related IT fields.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and processes is a plus.
