The Remote Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the client’s social media strategy across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the client’s marketing goals.
- Identify target audiences and tailor content and engagement strategies accordingly.
- Research and stay up-to-date on the latest social media trends, tools, and technologies.
- Plan and manage social media calendars, ensuring timely and engaging content.
- Create engaging and relevant content (text, images, videos, stories, live sessions) that resonates with the target audience and reflects the client’s brand voice.
- Curate relevant content from external sources to share with the audience.
- Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, and optimized for each platform.
- Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and messages.
- Engage with the audience in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive community.
- Respond to inquiries, address concerns, and escalate issues as needed.
- Run polls, contests, and Q&A sessions to encourage interaction.
- Track key social media metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, website traffic, conversions).
- Analyze data and generate reports on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Use analytics tools to optimize content and strategies for better results.
- Manage and maintain the client’s social media profiles across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest).
- Stay informed about platform updates and algorithm changes.
- Ensure profiles are complete, consistent, and optimized for search.
- Develop and manage paid social media campaigns (e.g., Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads) to reach specific target audiences and achieve marketing objectives.
- Set budgets, monitor campaign performance, and optimize for ROI.
- Collaborate with other marketing team members (e.g., content creators, designers) to ensure cohesive campaigns.
- Communicate effectively with the client to provide updates, present strategies, and report on performance.
- Participate in virtual meetings and discussions.
- Continuously learn about new social media trends, tools, and best practices.
- Experiment with new features and strategies to keep the client’s social media presence fresh and engaging.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience 4+ years as a Social Media Manager or in a similar role, managing social media for brands or organizations.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of various social media platforms and their best practices.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
- Experience with social media analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, basic Photoshop) and video editing skills are a plus.
- Understanding of paid social media advertising principles and platforms is a plus.
