Role Overview:

Nordhealth seeks an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their dynamic Data & AI team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the entire lifecycle of data-driven reporting features, from data integration and backend optimization to developing scalable, interactive front-end visualizations. Reporting to the Staff Data Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex requirements into robust, performant, and user-friendly features that directly impact business and clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, deploy, and manage data systems (including open-source OLAP like ClickHouse or Apache Pinot) within clustered environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reliable front-end reporting features using modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js required).
  • Build and maintain backend APIs and services using Python (e.g., Django) to support reporting functionalities.
  • Optimize data pipelines, database interactions (SQL), and query performance for accuracy and speed across systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or real-time analytics engines.
  • Create intuitive, high-performance front-end components for interacting with complex datasets.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering) to deliver high-quality features.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, automation, and system observability.
  • Take ownership, conduct research, and proactively solve problems related to data features.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Full Stack Development role, ideally within a SaaS or data-intensive product environment.
  • Proven experience integrating and managing open-source data systems (e.g., ClickHouse, Apache Pinot) in clustered/distributed setups.
  • Strong backend development skills using Python and web frameworks like Django, focusing on API development for reporting use cases.
  • Proficiency in writing efficient SQL queries and optimizing data access patterns.
  • Demonstrated expertise in front-end development using modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and frameworks – Vue.js experience is essential.
  • Proficiency with version control (Git/GitLab) and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud or containerized environments (e.g., Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, proactiveness, and the ability to take ownership.
  • Strong collaboration and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with React.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience working in a fast-growing, global SaaS company.
