We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Implementation Manager on behalf of our client. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end implementation process for new customers, ensuring they are set up for success from day one. You will act as the primary point of contact during the critical onboarding phase, coordinating resources, managing timelines, and ensuring client requirements are met effectively. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, technical aptitude, and excellent client-facing communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire implementation lifecycle for multiple clients simultaneously, from post-sales kickoff through to successful go-live and handover.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, define project scope, establish timelines and milestones, identify dependencies, and allocate necessary resources.
- Build strong relationships with new clients, understand their business objectives, requirements, and technical environments to tailor the implementation process accordingly.
- Serve as the central point of communication between the client and internal teams (e.g., Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support) to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
- Guide clients through the configuration and setup of the product/service, potentially performing some configuration tasks directly or coordinating with technical resources.
- Proactively identify potential risks, roadblocks, and challenges during implementation and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Develop and deliver client-specific training sessions (potentially remotely via web conferencing) and create supporting documentation (e.g., setup guides, best practice documents).
- Address and troubleshoot issues that arise during the implementation phase, escalating complex technical problems when necessary.
- Ensure a smooth and effective transition of the client relationship to the Account Management or Customer Success team post-implementation.
- Contribute to the refinement of the implementation methodology, tools, and best practices based on project experiences and client feedback.
- Maintain accurate project status reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience 3-5+ years in Implementation Management, Project Management, Technical Consulting, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within a technology environment.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and resource allocation. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet).
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Technical aptitude: Comfortable learning new software/platforms and understanding technical requirements.
- Experience working directly with external clients to understand needs and manage expectations.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience implementing Marketing Automation.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum Master).
- Experience working in a start-up or high-growth technology company.
