Smile.io, the world’s leading customer loyalty platform, is searching for a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our innovative Solutions Squad. This team is at the forefront of expanding Smile’s capabilities, focusing on API development, integrations with other e-commerce platforms, and crafting solutions for our largest clients.
What you’ll do:
- Build impactful integrations: Design and develop seamless integrations that connect Smile.io with other key players in the e-commerce space.
- Enhance our API: Improve the performance, scalability, and features of our public API, making it a powerful tool for developers and merchants.
- Develop high-quality software: Write, test, and maintain robust code for Smile.io’s platform, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate effectively: Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to bring new features and integrations to life.
- Solve merchant challenges: Provide technical guidance and develop custom solutions to address the unique needs of our merchants.
What you bring:
- Full-stack expertise: 3+ years of experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies.
- Key skills: Intermediate proficiency in Ember.js or React (with TypeScript) and Ruby on Rails (or similar backend frameworks). Experience with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Problem-solving mindset: Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Bonus points:
- Experience with Shopify app development and APIs.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams focused on integrations and public APIs.
- Comfort interacting with clients and participating in technical sales discussions.
