Cribl is seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our AI Inference Platform team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of search and analytics for observability data by integrating cutting-edge Generative AI technologies into our product suite.
Responsibilities:
Build and Lead:
- Assemble and mentor a cross-functional scrum team of exceptional engineers focused on developing scalable, extensible, maintainable, and performant distributed data processing systems.
- Set and uphold standards for technical excellence in product development, emphasizing design, robustness, and high-quality code.
- Guide the team in the definition, design, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance of the AI Inference Platform.
- Foster a “customer first” mindset, aligning the team’s efforts with customer delight.
- Establish a strong partnership with product management and product operations teams to refine, prioritize, and execute against the AI Inference roadmap.
Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience leading teams in designing and maintaining large-scale systems for AI Inference.
- Deep understanding of Python or TypeScript, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies, as well as common cloud providers.
- Solid grasp of machine learning frameworks and infrastructure.
- Ability to collaborate with cloud and compliance teams to ensure reliability and security.
- Experience optimizing system performance and reducing costs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years managing engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with AI/ML, including ML frameworks, public cloud, and commercial AI/ML solutions.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, SageMaker, HuggingFace is a plus.
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, EKS).
