Primer, a fast-growing startup revolutionizing data infrastructure for marketing and sales teams, is seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development and management of our data integration systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines that handle large volumes of data from various sources.
- Develop and optimize APIs, ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems.
- Implement efficient data processing techniques to ensure low-latency retrieval and real-time performance.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to create scalable data solutions that meet the needs of our users.
- Stay at the forefront of data engineering trends, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Expertise in building and maintaining integrations with third-party APIs.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with databases (Postgres preferred).
- Strong understanding of data processing techniques (MapReduce, concurrency, parallelization).
- Experience with Kubernetes environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points:
- Node.js proficiency
- Experience with LLMs and RAG
