Our client, sourcing talent through the WorkinVirtual platform, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join their team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights from data, possess strong analytical skills, and be adept at communicating findings to various stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing data to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and acquire data from primary or secondary data sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, external sources).
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
  • Clean, preprocess, and validate data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Address data quality issues proactively.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand trends, patterns, and correlations within complex datasets.
  • Apply statistical techniques and analytical methods to interpret data and answer key business questions.
  • Identify areas for process improvement based on data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms (specific tool may vary based on client).
  • Clearly communicate complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences through reports and presentations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reports and analyses.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, sales, product, finance) to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
  • Assist in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes, analyses, and reports.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience 2+ years working as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases.
  • Experience with data analysis and statistical programming languages such as Python (pandas, NumPy, SciPy) or R.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
  • Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
