Tiller, a dynamic and distributed company revolutionizing personal and small business finance management, is seeking a passionate and tech-savvy Customer Support Representative to join our team remotely within the United States. We empower individuals to take control of their finances by providing an easy-to-use spreadsheet-based system integrated with daily bank feeds and customizable templates. As a key member of our customer support team, you will be the first point of contact for our users, providing expert assistance and guidance on a wide range of issues, from troubleshooting technical glitches to offering advice on utilizing our product effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer support via Intercom (our messaging platform) and Discourse (our community forum), addressing inquiries related to Tiller’s features, functionality, and troubleshooting technical problems.
  • Help customers navigate the intricacies of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel as they apply to personal finance management.
  • Educate users on best practices for using Tiller, including sorting data, customizing spreadsheets, and leveraging our templates.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of our customer support resources, including help center articles and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify recurring customer issues and contribute to product enhancements.
  • Play a vital role in maintaining Tiller’s reputation for outstanding customer service.

Requirements:

  • A passion for helping people and a knack for problem-solving.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 6 hours per day, five days a week, including at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel.
  • A strong desire to learn and master new products and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 1+ years of customer support experience or a related background that demonstrates your suitability for the role.
  • An up-to-date LinkedIn profile.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay: $20 per hour.
