Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Gulf Insurance Group, a leading provider of insurance solutions in the Middle East and North Africa, is currently seeking a highly qualified Medical Board Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical practices, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills. The role will involve handling relations with medical providers, analyzing prior-approval requests, supervising in-patient claims, and providing medical advice and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate discounts and study price lists with medical providers.
- Handle reconciliations and conduct regular visits to medical providers.
- Analyze and negotiate prior-approval requests for medical claims.
- Approve claims when agreements are reached and enter them into the GIG Insurance E.C. IT system.
- Supervise in-patient claims, including hospital visits.
- Provide medical advice and training on medical basics and practices.
- Assist medical claims administrators in processing claims.
- Validate all medical claims in the GIG Insurance E.C. IT system.
- Communicate with insured members regarding their claims and requests.
- Conduct training and information seminars on GIG Insurance E.C. medical products for clients, prospects, and internal sales forces.
- Maintain confidentiality of all medical information.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine (MBBS)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Tertiary education required
- Medical degree required
