About the Role
Fannie Mae is seeking a Model Validator Lead Associate to join their team. This is a full-time, remote position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
As a Model Validator Lead Associate, you will be responsible for validating models used in various areas of the mortgage finance business. This includes evaluating the performance of models, assessing the risk of model methodologies, and communicating technical findings to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Produce model validation reports and assessments
- Evaluate model performance and identify potential risks
- Develop validation and testing strategies
- Assess the quality and risk of model methodologies
- Communicate technical findings to department leadership and teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field
- 4+ years of experience in model development or validation in the financial industry
- Proficiency in R and Python
- Excellent technical writing skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. or Masters) in a quantitative field
- Experience with SAS or SQL
- Knowledge of risk management governance
