About the Role:
The Senior L&H Actuary will play a crucial role in supporting AXA’s Group and its entities in achieving ambitious financial goals through sustainable actuarial practices. This involves collaborating with the Controlling team on financial forecasting, developing profitability metrics, and analyzing business performance. The role also includes fulfilling the regulatory function of the Actuarial Function, providing expert opinions on reserving, underwriting, and reinsurance. The successful candidate will contribute to a transversal view of actuarial topics, fostering relationships with entities and other Group teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on financial forecasting processes (budget, strategic plan, MBR).
- Define methodologies and profitability metrics.
- Analyze business profitability and evolution.
- Provide opinions on underwriting policy, reinsurance arrangements, and technical provisions.
- Coordinate the process of gathering local entities’ opinions on reserves.
- Contribute to “In-Depth Reviews” of Best Estimate Assumptions.
- Represent the Finance department in the “Group Underwriting Committee.”
- Provide a transversal view on actuarial topics.
- Participate in the community of Chief Actuaries.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills in actuarial modeling, coding, and data analysis.
- Business acumen and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
- Ability to convey complex issues clearly.
- 8-12 years of experience minimum in Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (PhD preferred).
