About the Role
As a Corporate Actions Analyst at Bank of Montreal, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate settlement of various financial transactions. This includes pre and post-settlement support related to account opening, confirmation, cash management, margin, and collateralization. You will also be involved in specialized operations such as Asset Servicing, Correspondent Banking Services, and Wire Payment Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and format data into reports and dashboards.
- Support change management initiatives.
- Provide problem-solving support to junior staff.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of work information.
- Execute routine tasks within defined service level agreements.
- Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Understand regulatory requirements and ensure operational integrity.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of new processes and systems.
- Support the development of tools and delivery of training.
- Complete complex tasks and handle escalations.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field.
- Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology.
- Understanding of financial products, services, processes, and controls.
- Knowledge of risk and regulatory requirements.
- Strong prioritization, customer service, and PC skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
