The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and entrepreneurial Business Development Intern to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience in a fast-growing startup environment. You will work directly with Sealenic’s founders, contributing across various business functions including sales, marketing, strategy, and operations, helping to expand our market presence and engage key industry stakeholders. This internship is ideal for an aspiring business professional looking to build a strong foundation in the startup world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and strategic opportunities within the maritime industry.
- Support lead generation activities by sourcing and initiating contact with potential customers, partners, and industry contacts through targeted outreach campaigns.
- Assist in scheduling, preparing for, and potentially participating in meetings with shipping companies, offshore teams, and industry leaders.
- Contribute to Sealenic’s marketing efforts through content creation, social media strategy support, and website material optimization.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback and market data to provide insights for product development and overall business strategy.
- Provide operational support on strategic projects designed to enhance business efficiency and scalability.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- A self-motivated individual with a demonstrable entrepreneurial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Capable of working independently, managing tasks effectively, and taking ownership of projects.
- A genuine interest in the logistics/maritime industry, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms is highly advantageous.
