About Cranky Concierge:
We’re dedicated to ensuring our clients have a seamless and worry-free travel experience. Our team of experts provides 24/7 support, handling everything from flight bookings and itinerary management to resolving travel disruptions.
Position Summary:
The Overnight On-Duty Concierge will be responsible for providing critical assistance to travelers during off-hours. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle urgent inquiries: Answer phone calls and emails from travelers experiencing issues such as flight cancellations, delays, missed connections, or other travel disruptions.
- Provide timely solutions: Identify and implement alternative travel arrangements, coordinate with airlines and other service providers, and ensure travelers reach their destinations safely and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively: Keep clients informed about the status of their travel plans, provide updates and reassurance, and manage expectations.
- Escalate issues as needed: Identify complex or urgent situations that require escalation to the appropriate team members or managers.
- Maintain accurate records: Document all interactions with clients and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Collaborate with the team: Work closely with other concierges, travel planners, and customer service representatives to ensure seamless coordination and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or travel industry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically under pressure.
- Proficiency in using travel booking systems and GDS (Sabre preferred).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Availability to work overnight shifts on a regular basis (Sundays-Mondays, 7pm-3am EST).
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Knowledge of airline networks and travel regulations.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Proficiency in a foreign language.
