The National Security Agency (NSA) seeks a highly proficient Chechen Linguist/Analyst to join our dynamic team at Fort Meade. This critical role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your language expertise and contribute directly to national security initiatives.
Responsibilities:
As a Multidisciplined Language Analyst (MDLA) at the NSA, you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing, transcribing, and translating complex Chechen language materials (Cyrillic).
- Providing critical insights into Chechen culture, socio-political dynamics, and regional issues.
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of foreign language sources to identify and assess national security threats.
- Producing timely and accurate written reports and presentations that synthesize large volumes of data and disparate sources of information.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues and partners across the Intelligence Community to achieve mission objectives.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative analytic techniques and solutions.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of evolving communications and technology trends.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum ILR proficiency level 2/2 in Chechen (reading and listening)
- A high school diploma or GED plus 7 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience,1 or a Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 1 year of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience.2
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex information3 clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in intelligence analysis, national security, or related fields.
- Knowledge of target development, social network analysis, metadata analysis, or research methodology.
- Familiarity with topical or regional studies relevant to national security.
- Expertise in quantitative/statistical analysis, data modeling, data mining, or data science.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, computer science, networking, or telecommunications.
