Speechify, the leading app for turning text into audio, is searching for a talented Senior Android Engineer to join our remote team. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping the future of our Android app, which is used by millions to access information in a whole new way.
What You’ll Do:
- Take ownership of key features within the app, collaborating closely with our design team to deliver a high-quality user experience.
- Contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of our Android app, ensuring its reliability and performance.
- Participate in agile development sprints, code reviews, and feature releases.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Engineering) to bring innovative ideas to life.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on Android development.
- Extensive knowledge of Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, and other relevant Android technologies.
- A passion for building user-friendly and visually appealing mobile interfaces.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to writing clean, testable code.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with open-source Android projects.
- Familiarity with iOS, Web, or NodeJS development.
