The Government of Pakistan, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training, is searching for a qualified and experienced Vice Chancellor to lead the National Skills University (NSU) in Islamabad. The National Skills University (NSU) is a pioneering public sector university in Pakistan with a mission to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving job market driven by the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR 4.0). NSU’s curriculum is designed to be industry-relevant and focused on preparing students for in-demand jobs. Job Description

The Vice Chancellor of NSU will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the university. He or she will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic vision for NSU, overseeing academic affairs, research, and outreach activities, and managing the university’s budget and resources. The Vice Chancellor will also be responsible for building relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and other stakeholders.

Key Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. degree from an HEC recognized or UNESCO-listed institution
  • Minimum 10 years of experience after PhD qualification, preferably in a senior academic, research, or management leadership position
  • A distinguished record of research and publications
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • A proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A deep understanding of the issues pertaining to skills development and the linkages with national and international job markets
  • The ability to forge partnerships with public, private, and development partners
