Remote IT Security Champion (EMEA)

Hostaway, a thriving vacation rental SaaS startup, is seeking a passionate and experienced IT Security Champion to join their growing team. As the sole security specialist, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding their digital assets, ensuring a secure environment for their systems, networks, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Oversee device and endpoint security, keeping them protected from threats.
• Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Lead the investigation and response to security incidents, minimizing impact and ensuring smooth resolution.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices for data protection and privacy.
• Educate employees on security best practices and raise awareness through regular training sessions.
• Generate detailed reports on the organization’s security status, including incident reports and risk analyses.

Who We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT Security, preferably within a startup or scale-up environment.
• Proven experience implementing and managing device and endpoint security systems and processes.
• Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security threats in a cloud-based business environment.
• Experience coordinating penetration testing and collaborating with engineering teams for remediation.
• Strong understanding of supporting a remote workforce.
• Customer-centric mindset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
