About the Role:

As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in defining and championing the vision for a specific product or product line. You will be the voice of the customer, ensuring that the product meets their needs and exceeds their expectations. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the USA.

Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision:
    • Develop and maintain a clear and compelling product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
    • Conduct market research, customer analysis, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and unmet needs.
    • Define and prioritize product features and functionalities based on customer value, business goals, and technical feasibility.
    • Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Product Backlog Management:
    • Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, ensuring it is constantly refined and updated.
    • Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
    • Collaborate with the development team to estimate and plan sprints.
    • Ensure the backlog aligns with the overall product strategy and vision.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary liaison between the development team and stakeholders (e.g., business owners, marketing, sales, customer support).
    • Gather and analyze feedback from stakeholders and customers.
    • Effectively communicate product updates, progress, and any challenges to stakeholders.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Agile Development:
    • Participate in all Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives).
    • Guide and support the development team in understanding and delivering on the product backlog.
    • Ensure that the development process adheres to Agile principles and best practices.
    • Continuously seek ways to improve the Agile process and optimize team performance.
  • Product Performance Monitoring:
    • Track and analyze key product metrics (e.g., user engagement, customer satisfaction, revenue).
    • Identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance.
    • Report on product performance to stakeholders and provide insights to inform future development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner, ideally 3+ years, with a successful track record of delivering digital products.
  • Agile Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Customer Focus: Passionate about understanding and meeting customer needs, with a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Technical Proficiency: A good understanding of software development processes and technologies.
  • Remote Work: Comfortable working in a remote environment and collaborating effectively with a distributed team.
