The Opportunity
Samsung is seeking a strategic and commercially minded Senior Finance Manager – Commercial Finance to lead the commercial finance function within its Service Business.
This role plays a critical part in driving financial performance, influencing commercial strategy, and optimizing product and partnership profitability. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the commercial, product, and partnership teams to identify risks and opportunities and deliver actionable financial insights that support business growth.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Commercial Deal Evaluation
The Senior Finance Manager will lead the financial evaluation of content partners and licensing agreements. This includes assessing return on investment, determining payback periods, and ensuring the commercial viability of new initiatives.
Product and Partnership Economics
In close partnership with Product and Partnerships teams, the role will evaluate product economics to maximize profitability and support sustainable growth. Financial models will be developed and maintained to link revenue performance to service metrics, including monthly active users and engagement hours.
Financial Performance & Risk Management
The role requires proactive identification of financial risks and market opportunities. The Senior Finance Manager will design mitigation strategies, capitalize on growth opportunities, and lead regular commercial finance reviews to monitor performance against targets.
Detailed financial analysis will support strategic planning and executive decision-making, while ensuring senior leadership has clear visibility into key growth drivers and potential challenges.
Strategic Collaboration & Financial Leadership
Working across commercial teams and headquarters, the role ensures alignment between financial objectives and broader business strategy. The Senior Finance Manager will provide financial leadership, uphold budget discipline, and ensure compliance with financial policies.
In addition, the position drives continuous improvement within commercial finance processes to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy. Revenue targets will be developed in collaboration with commercial leaders to ensure alignment with company-wide objectives.

Success in this position is demonstrated by consistently meeting financial targets and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting that informs strategic decisions.
Effective sales incentive programs will be designed and implemented to improve motivation and revenue growth, resulting in measurable productivity gains.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will proactively identify financial risks and opportunities within the advertising market while building strong partnerships with commercial stakeholders. Ultimately, this role significantly strengthens Samsung’s position as a leader in digital services and advertising.
Candidate Background
Educational Background
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline is expected. Professional finance qualifications are advantageous.
Professional Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of leading a finance function and strong knowledge of business processes across Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
Advanced Excel skills are essential, including expertise in formulas, pivot tables, and macros. Experience working with Salesforce and SAP is required, while familiarity with SQL and statistical analysis tools is advantageous.
An understanding of media and TV measurement is beneficial. Korean language proficiency is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as the role requires influencing senior stakeholders and collaborating across multiple teams.
