The Role: Director Procurement & Stores
As the Director of Procurement & Stores, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement and stores management for RMU. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team responsible for acquiring goods and services required by the university, ensuring compliance with all relevant Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules.
- Developing and implementing efficient procurement strategies and procedures to optimize costs and ensure timely delivery of essential supplies.
- Managing the university’s stores and inventory, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing the efficient distribution of resources.
- Collaborating with various departments and faculties within RMU to understand their procurement needs.
- Liaising with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible deals and ensure quality products.
Who We’re Looking For:
- A seasoned professional: Masters (MS) or M.Phil degree in Management Sciences, Commerce, Economics, or a related field from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
- Proven experience: At least eight years of post-qualification experience in procurement and stores management. Alternatively, an MBA, M.Com, ACCA, ACMA, M.Sc in Economics (2nd Division) with ten years of experience is also considered.
- Solid understanding: Strong grasp of PPRA rules and regulations.
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills: The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
