We are seeking an accomplished executive to establish and lead our new North American Service Business Unit. This is a high-impact, strategic role for a visionary leader who can drive growth across the renewable energy sector while building a world-class service organization from the ground up.

Your Mission: Build and Scale a Market-Leading Service Division

As Vice President of Service Operations, you will have complete P&L responsibility for the North American region, transforming our service delivery model and capturing emerging opportunities in the rapidly evolving green energy landscape. You will serve as the face of Hitachi Energy’s service excellence while reporting directly to the Global Service Business Unit Managing Director.

Key Executive Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive service growth strategy aligned with global business objectives and North American market dynamics

• P&L Management: Oversee regional financial performance, driving profitability through cost optimization and revenue growth initiatives

• Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new service opportunities across the installed base and emerging energy technologies

• Sales Excellence: Lead regional service sales teams and collaborate with global marketing to exceed revenue targets

• Operational Excellence: Ensure superior service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

• Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain executive-level client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty

• Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams across multiple service disciplines

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work within a matrix organization to align service strategies with product and systems business units

The Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)

• Proven executive leadership experience within an OEM service division

• Demonstrated success in driving business growth and achieving financial targets in complex environments

• Strong background in the energy sector with understanding of renewable technologies

• Experience navigating matrix organizations and influencing cross-functional teams

• Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills

• Willingness to travel throughout North America as business requires

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Hitachi Energy’s products and service offerings

• Experience establishing new business units or regional operations

• Background in green energy, smart infrastructure, or utility services

• Track record of successful organizational transformation
