Join our UX Design team as a contract UX Researcher, where you will be the analytical engine behind optimizing online shopping journeys, improving conversion rates, and influencing strategic design decisions for our diverse client portfolio.
The Role: UX Researcher (Contract)
As a UX Researcher, you will blend quantitative analytics with qualitative insights to uncover user behavior patterns and identify friction points in the e-commerce funnel. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to conduct data analysis, A/B testing, and usability studies, translating findings into actionable recommendations that directly impact business KPIs. This is a hands-on role for a self-driven researcher who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct deep-dive analysis using Google Analytics and Shopify to understand user navigation, buying behavior, and funnel performance. Identify opportunities to reduce abandonment and improve conversion.

Plan and execute usability tests, surveys, and interviews to gather qualitative insights that complement quantitative data.

Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to measure the impact of design variations on site performance and key metrics.

Skillfully communicate research findings and data-driven recommendations to clients, influencing their site improvement roadmap and business decisions.

Create user journey maps and analyze conversion funnels to visualize pain points and propose strategic optimizations.

Work seamlessly with design, development, and project management teams to ensure research insights are integrated into project execution.
Required Skills & Experience:

4-7 years of professional UX research experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impact on e-commerce or digital products.

Expertise in quantitative data analysis and tools: Google Analytics (GA4), Shopify analytics, and A/B testing platforms (Optimizely, VWO, etc.).

Proficiency in qualitative research methods: usability testing, survey design, user interviews.

Strong understanding of user-centered design processes, design thinking, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) principles.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into clear, compelling stories for clients and internal teams.

Comfort managing multiple projects and clients in a dynamic, fast-paced agency environment.

Experience collaborating across functional teams (design, development, PM).
Preferred Qualifications (A Plus):

A background in Graphic/Interaction Design and familiarity with Figma, Sketch, or similar UX design tools.

Ability to create low-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, or user flows to communicate ideas.

Experience with data visualization techniques and tools.
