We’re seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with strong Node.js expertise to join our distributed team. This role offers the opportunity to architect and optimize platforms handling millions of daily visitors while working with a diverse international team across 20+ national cultures.

Your Mission: Ensure Platform Reliability at Massive Scale

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in evolving our high-traffic infrastructure, focusing on platform observability, security, and performance optimization. You’ll bridge development and operations, applying your software engineering skills to build resilient, scalable systems that power our global video platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, highly available systems serving millions of daily users

• Observability Excellence: Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using modern tooling

• Automation Leadership: Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve reliability

• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, particularly within Node.js applications

• Incident Management: Troubleshoot complex production issues and participate in on-call rotations

• CI/CD Pipeline Management: Implement and optimize continuous integration and deployment workflows

• Developer Enablement: Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability into the software lifecycle

• Security Hardening: Advocate for and implement security best practices across infrastructure and applications

Technical Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Node.js development and ecosystem

• Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and distributed systems

• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)

• Background with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash)

• Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns

• Experience with database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)

• Background in production incident management and on-call rotations

• Understanding of security fundamentals and best practices
