  • Diagnose and resolve bugs and implement small enhancements reported via GitHub.

  • Provide thoughtful feedback and peer review for other developers through GitHub PRs.

  • Confidently jump between complex back-end (PHP/MySQL) and front-end (JavaScript) development tasks.

  • Collaborate effectively using chat, audio, and video, ensuring clear and proactive communication.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Professional experience in WordPress plugin development, with deep knowledge of architecture, hooks, and standards.

  • Advanced proficiency in PHP and MySQL, including modern practices: OOP, autoloading, namespaces, traits, interfaces.

  • Strong familiarity with JavaScript (vanilla JS, jQuery, ES6+).

  • Experience with build tools (Webpack, Gulp) and package managers (Composer, NPM).

  • Experience working with third-party APIs (Stripe, Zapier, etc.).

  • Competence with Git/GitHub and modern development workflows.

  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and a commitment to simplicity in code.

  • Previous freelance or remote work experience.

  • Availability to overlap with 9am – 5pm Eastern Time (UTC-5) for meetings and collaboration.

Bonus Points For:

  • Advanced JavaScript framework experience (Vue.js, React).

  • E-commerce platform experience (EDD, WooCommerce, Stripe).

  • DevOps or infrastructure management skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary and comprehensive benefits package.

  • Coverage for team members in the US and 16+ other countries.

  • Work from anywhere with a globally distributed team.

  • Flexible paid time off after 90 days.
