About the Role: Lead Cloud Infrastructure & Automation
Are you an expert in cloud infrastructure automation and site reliability engineering (SRE)? WorkinVirtual is recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect and scale the CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native infrastructure for a leading technology innovator.
This is a high-impact, fully-remote role where you will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible to manage environments on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be the cornerstone for building a resilient, secure, and automated software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Automate Everything

CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Architect, build, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps to enable rapid and reliable software deployments.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, maintain, and execute Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks to provision and manage a scalable, cost-effective multi-cloud infrastructure.

Kubernetes Orchestration: Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). Experience with helm charts and K8s cluster administration is key.

Cloud Security & Compliance: Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security tools (SAST/DAST) directly into the pipeline. Automate security hardening and compliance checks for AWS IAM, Azure Security Center, and GCP IAM.

Monitoring & Performance: Implement full-stack observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the ELK Stack to ensure high availability, performance, and proactive issue resolution.

Scripting & Tooling: Write advanced scripts in Python, Go, or Bash to automate operational tasks and bridge gaps between systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer, SRE, or Cloud Automation role.

Expert-level, hands-on proficiency with at least one primary cloud provider: AWS Certified, Azure, or GCP.

Demonstrable experience building complex CI/CD pipelines from the ground up.

Mastery of Infrastructure as Code principles with Terraform (preferred) or CloudFormation.

Strong, practical experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

Advanced scripting and automation skills in Python or Go.

In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
