About the Opportunity
silverorange, a leading Canadian design and development agency with a 25-year history of delivering meaningful projects, is seeking a talented Intermediate or Senior iOS Native App Developer to join its fully remote team.
For over two decades, we have collaborated with globally recognized organizations like Duolingo and Mozilla, as well as world-renowned medical professionals and non-profits. Our focus is on building exceptional, user-focused products within a supportive, empathetic, and team-oriented environment.
As our newest iOS Developer, you will contribute to a high-impact medical education application, working alongside a team of experienced professionals to maintain and innovate features used by a wide audience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and enhance new features for a sophisticated Swift-based iOS application.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code and promote team growth.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and clients to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical design challenges and bugs.
- Author comprehensive unit and UI tests to ensure application stability and reliability.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Must be legally eligible to work full-time from a location within Canada.
- Proven professional experience in iOS development using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Demonstrated experience with the entire app lifecycle, including the release process on the Apple App Store.
- Strong background in developing complex, integrated systems and collaborating effectively within a development team.
- Proficiency with testing, continuous integration (CI) processes, and version control systems.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with a distributed team across multiple time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, experience in any of the following areas is a significant asset:
- User interface (UI) and interaction design (UX).
- Media playback and complex data synchronization.
- Google Cloud Firestore or other Firebase products.
- Reactive programming using Apple’s Combine framework.
- Previous project or product leadership experience.
