As a small, agile company, every team member plays a critical, hands-on role in project success.

We are seeking an experienced and client-facing Senior Business Analyst to be the linchpin of our project delivery process. In this role, you will be the primary translator of business needs into actionable technical specifications. You will work directly with clients to gather requirements, manage scope, plan sprints with development leads, and ensure the final product aligns perfectly with expectations. This is a role for a proactive communicator who thrives on clarity, detail, and seeing a project through from concept to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth client workshops to understand complex business processes, gather comprehensive requirements, and identify potential gaps.

  • Translate requirements into detailed outlines, flowcharts, and functional wireframes to serve as the single source of truth for development teams.

  • Actively control project scope, communicate changes, and assist in the change order process to maintain project integrity and client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, development leads, and project managers to divide projects into sprints, communicate requirements clearly to developers, and explain project goals.

  • Work closely with QA and development teams to test sprint deliverables and the integrated product, ensuring it matches specifications. You will contribute significantly to QA efforts when needed.

  • Be the primary point of contact for client feedback, ensuring it is accurately captured, communicated to the development team, and properly implemented.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional Business Analyst experience in a software development, digital agency, or IT consulting environment.

  • Proven experience gathering requirements from stakeholders and translating them into outlines, flowcharts, and functional wireframes.

  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, including organizing sprints and communicating technical requirements to development teams.

  • Direct involvement in the development lifecycle of websites, web applications, and/or mobile apps.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients and business needs to technical teams.

  • A history of mentoring or coaching others with balanced, effective feedback.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile (Nice to Have):

  • Some coding ability or technical development experience.

  • Formal QA/testing experience.

  • A self-starter who thrives in a small, remote company environment where ownership and versatility are key.
