Job Description: Principal Cloud Architect – Remote (AI/ML Focus)
Are you a visionary technical leader with 12+ years of experience architecting mission-critical, cloud-scale distributed systems? Oracle, a global leader in cloud solutions, is seeking a Principal Architect to envision, drive, and deliver the next generation of innovation for Oracle Health. This is a senior, high-impact individual contributor role where you will be a force multiplier—designing new major components of our platform, shaping technical strategy, and mentoring the next generation of engineers on how to build transformative, AI-integrated cloud services.

About the Role:
You will be a technical powerhouse, responsible for the architectural vision and hands-on leadership needed to drive deep, foundational changes within the Oracle Health platform. This role demands a builder who can design scalable, high-performance services, integrate advanced AI agents and workflows, and foster a culture of engineering excellence across teams.
Key Responsibilities:

Envision, design, and drive the development of new, scalable cloud services and major platform components. Partner with executives to secure investment and align technical strategy with business goals for Oracle Health.

Leverage and architect with artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, including the design of AI agents, agentic workflows, and ML-powered system components.

Serve as a technical beacon. Mentor senior and junior engineers, develop team talent, and champion engineering best practices to elevate the entire organization’s capability.

Partner closely with architects, engineers, and product managers to deliver customer-focused solutions on schedule. Drive technical consensus, build cross-functional partnerships, and ensure flawless execution.

Build production automation for hands-off operations and maintain integration and production systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, and observability.
What You Bring (Required Technical Competencies):

12+ years of experience architecting, delivering, and operating large-scale, high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems in a production cloud environment.

Proven mastery in designing and deploying scalable, cloud-native distributed systems. Expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure, modern CI/CD, and observability.

Hands-on, expert-level experience designing and implementing AI agents, AI algorithms, and ML-powered workflows. Expert programming capability in Java, Go, and Python for building complex backend systems and microservices.

Deep understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL), distributed storage, and containerized infrastructures for multi-tenant environments.

Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex strategies, influence stakeholders, and inspire teams. A proven track record of driving innovation, leading through ambiguity, and mastering complexity.
