We are seeking a motivated Master’s student to join our Anatomy Plugins group as a Working Student in Data Science & Medical Image Processing. In this hands-on role, you will directly contribute to improving our AI models by curating high-quality datasets, building automated evaluation pipelines, and enhancing our data workflows. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable industry experience in medical AI, work with state-of-the-art tools, and contribute to products with a tangible societal impact.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Outcomes:

Use data science techniques and proprietary software to prepare, clean, and improve large-scale datasets from public and in-house sources for AI model training.

Create Python-based workflows and reports to analyze data quality, detect issues, and evaluate the performance of machine learning model predictions.

Think creatively to help automate and improve the processes for annotating medical images (e.g., segmenting spine, heart, head anatomy).

Your work will directly support the improvement of our anatomy segmentation plugins used in certified medical devices.

Collaborate with an international team of experts in machine learning, software engineering, and medical imaging.
Your Profile (Required):

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a closely related field.

Strong proficiency in Python (C++ is a plus).

Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail.

High motivation to contribute to the medical field and learn about human anatomy.

Professional English proficiency (German is not required).
Ideal Candidate (Preferred Skills):

Basic experience or strong academic interest in deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).

A passion for data quality, automation, and solving complex technical puzzles.
