Federal Sales Leadership Opportunity
We’re seeking an accomplished Federal Account Executive to drive technology solutions within Department of Defense organizations. This senior role focuses on enhancing mission outcomes through strategic technology integration while managing a significant revenue pipeline. The successful candidate will develop deep client relationships, understand critical mission objectives, and align Trace3’s comprehensive technology portfolio with defense sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Account Management:

Develop and maintain executive relationships within DoD organizations

Manage a $20M+ revenue pipeline through all sales cycle phases
-
Position and close services across multiple delivery models including project-based support, managed services, and XaaS solutions

Collaborate with defense system integrators at business development, program management, and engineering levels
Technology Solution Leadership:

Demonstrate expertise with key OEM partners including Cisco, NetApp, VMware, Dell, HPE, AWS, and Azure

Understand federal budgeting cycles and procurement processes
-
Align technology solutions with mission requirements and strategic objectives

Quarterback cross-functional teams including inside support, engineers, and project managers
Business Development & Growth:

Identify and capture new customer opportunities within defense sectors

Achieve and exceed annual revenue targets exceeding $20M

Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline management to sales leadership

Maintain knowledge of defense priorities and emerging technology requirements
Required Qualifications

7+ years of major account management experience in federal IT sales

Documented success achieving $20M+ revenue targets

Experience selling to Department of Defense organizations

Strong understanding of federal budgeting and procurement cycles

Outstanding communication, organization, and relationship-building skills

Background in pipeline management, prospecting, and complex deal closure
Preferred Qualifications

Defense system integrator experience

Navy-specific selling background

Existing relationships with key defense decision-makers

Knowledge of defense-specific compliance and security requirements
