We are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer III to join our team in India. This role requires hands on expertise in AWS and DevOps tools with a strong focus on implementation and migration projects
The Opportunity
As an AWS DevOps Engineer III you will automate deployments using custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS. You will architect AWS environments following best practices and deployment methodologies while creating automation tools and processes to improve day to day functions. You will educate customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architecture ensuring the control integrity and accessibility of cloud environments for enterprise customers
What You’ll Do

Automate deployments utilizing custom templates and modules for customer environments on AWS

Architect AWS environment best practices and deployment methodologies
-
Create automation tools and processes to improve day to day functions
-
Educate customers on AWS and Rackspace best practices and architecture
-
Ensure the control integrity and accessibility of cloud environments for enterprise customers
-
Lead workload and workforce management and optimization related tasks
-
Assist Rackers across the Cloud Function as needed
-
Solution and implement Greenfield projects leveraging IaaS and PaaS for primary sites and disaster recovery
Technical Expertise Required
-
Expert knowledge of AWS Products and Services including Compute Storage Security and Networking

Proficient skills in at least one of the following languages Python Linux or Shell scripting
-
Proficient skills with git and git workflows

Excellent working knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems with experience supporting and troubleshooting issues and performance

Highly skilled in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code including CI CD practices

Solid hands on experience with Kubernetes and the ELK stack

Experience in designing building implementing analyzing migrating and troubleshooting highly available systems

Knowledge of at least one configuration management system such as Chef Ansible or Puppet

Understanding of services and protocols configuration management and troubleshooting of hosting environments including web servers databases caching and database services

Knowledge of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols

Experienced in solutioning and implementation of Greenfield projects leveraging IaaS and PaaS
Who You Are

You have 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in AWS and DevOps

You have hands on experience in implementation and migration projects

You are passionate about technology and have a desire to constantly expand your technical knowledge

You are detail oriented in documenting information and able to own customer issues through resolution

You can handle multiple tasks and prioritize work under pressure

You demonstrate sound problem solving skills coupled with a desire to take on responsibility

You have strong written and verbal communication skills for both highly technical and non technical audiences

You can communicate technical issues effectively to both technical and non technical audiences
Education and Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required

Associate level Certificates in AWS or professional level certificate required
